Children's bedrooms. Ideas and tips for your distribution
Decorate and distribute space in children's bedrooms of our children is a task that one is done with great enthusiasm. However, no easy task: it requires to consider the tastes and needs of our children and, above all, make an adaptation of the furniture and decor based on age.
Versatility
The center of the room must be cleared to create a play area, so bulky furniture should be attached to the walls. It is recommended that the other furniture, if any, is moving (boxes with wheels) or light (bean bags, baskets) to move easily when needed. It is also essential to have a desk. Tables with folding systems have the advantage of saving much space, but useless if you want to install a computer in the future.
When there are two children
If you put two beds, bunk beds and pull-out beds are very practical. The first is recommended in high-ceilinged rooms (2.5 m minimum), but can be overwhelming for the child who sleeps below. To avoid this can be arranged in the form of L (so that only the upper bed is above the bottom in the area of the feet), which also earns the space under the loft bed to put cabinets, drawers or study area. The pull-out bed is ideal for small children's bedrooms, as there are two beds in the space of one. Course, be set aside space at least 90 cm in order to remove the bottom drawer. If you choose to put two single beds, the best position to take advantage of the space is put in the form of L, attached to the wall.
The boxes and drawers under the bed are the most practical solutions to organize the child's bedroom.
Choose the furniture
Modular systems are very useful because they allow you to add or remove modules as needed for the child. Many of these systems include loft beds with desks, drawers and cupboards below with which makes the most space. Do not forget the multi-functional furniture that save space and money, such as cribs that turn into beds, comfortable changing table, high chairs that are reused as chairs and tables that grow tall or wide.
In addition to the basic furniture in children's bedrooms should always have accessories for storing toys or clothes care or season. For this function, headboards, chest, for example, are ideal. Containers or stackable plastic boxes or not, by its resistance and easy cleaning, are best suited for toys of all kinds. And to pick up quick and easy toys for children, are indicated as open containers such as buckets or baskets.
Adjustable heights
In the closets and other storage systems is recommended that the height is adjustable shelves and bars to suit the growing child. Similarly, shelves and racks should be at the height of children to facilitate their access to things and the task of arranging the room.
Define spaces
When two or more children share the same bedroom, it's a good idea to create a visual separation so that each man have his own space. This can be as simple as decorating the room with furniture in two different colors to delineate the zones. Place two small shelves or bookcases near the harbor bed, instead of a large bookstore, also helps to create personal spaces.
Children's bedrooms for your home should be happy, functional spaces which invite children to sleep peacefully, play and study.
