Venture Capitalists do not know how to deal with real entrepreneurs
It 's amazing the amount of advice given to employers on how to approach venture capitalists. In fact, some venture capitalists actually put out brochures, and seminars to teach people how to deal with, because we assume that they are so busy that they have no time to talk to anyone until you have the next invention patent iPhone sitting in their hip pocket.
Sometimes, I laugh like venture capitalists have proclaimed God, and as entrepreneurs, the great men who built this nation are somehow second rate, and grateful to their whims. The reality is that if you're a great entrepreneur, venture capitalist funding will contact you.
However over the past 27 years in business have been contacted by a number of capitalists in venture funding, and someone needs to teach them how to deal with real entrepreneurs. The first thing a venture capitalist needs to understand are the real entrepreneurs are very busy and have no time for bull, and you could really care less what kind of loafers you're wearing, or the Italian custom.
A true entrepreneur, someone who has built his company would soon tear the Italian dress apart and use it to strips of toilet paper. VC does not impress employers, entrepreneurs and many see them as lesser lawyers. Perhaps, one day a group of entrepreneurs, if they can ever find the time, they need to get together and put a small brochure, which can be given to venture capitalists for funding to explain how to deal best entrepreneurs of our time. Please consider all this....
